Appearance

These creatures are slender and are slightly shorter than a human, bearing a silvery-green or blue skin which tends to be pale of colour. Hair ranges from emerald green to pale sapphire blue, offering the creature almost perfect camoflauge. Fingers and toes are partially webbed to aid with swimming. The race is an exceptionally deft one, gaining additional grace whilst within the water, but suffer intellectually where their ilk do not. The sides of their necks are addorned with gills, allowing them to breathe indefinately whilst under water. They can see up to four times further in the dark than many other races, as long as there is a little light, such as the light of the stars to guide them. The aquatic elves make superior fighters when beenath the waves, and excellent archers.

Mentality

Like land elves, their mentality is ruled by their longevity and their bond with the natural world. In their long lifespans, they will discover that nothing is unchanging. This is especially true for aquatic elves as they watch the ocean's ebb and flow carve caverns from stone and defeat even mountains. Because the world has such a fleeting nature, aquatic elves are wont to enjoy the moment and experience the good things while they last, but will shy away from uncertain attachments. They encourage individual freedom and value personal experience; a story of a beautiful place is nothing to actually walking there in person. Although slower to change than other races, aquatic elves are more decisive than their land-based cousins. They are quicker to act and usually accomplish great feats in a small amount of time.

Ecology

Aquatic elves live in the seas and ocean. Although most of them live within the great domed city of Rivenwood, a few wandering elves sometimes gather with the elusive merfolk and join their hunts. They prefer cooler waters with sandy bottom sea beds rather than the tropical, coral reefs that can be found off of the coasts of B'Ahal Bäe and Zheradan.
