Cleric is the single most powerful class whose main characteristic is versatility and wisdom. Clerics are strictly by their own creed and are quite difficult to play both in role play and in combat, due to the many restrictions, rules, regulations and variations of the class itself. This article is to cover all possibilities and ideas regarding the Cleric class including lore, progress, and building a Cleric class in the Kymlun setting.
Cleric is also:
- Core Class, meaning you can select it at level one.
- Prime Class, meaning that it gives no benefits if taken as a third/complimentary class, but taking all your levels in it is a great idea.
- And a God-tier class meaning that if built right, it has simply no weaknesses whatsoever.

IC: Lore
Strictly spoken, Clerics are the intermediaries between the Earthly and the Spiritual worlds, be that Divine, Infernal, Abyssal or even Spirit-relations. On Kymlun, the class itself can represent various takes on the above, as well as those born with Divine Blood. The approach and lore to every representation of the Cleric class highly depends on context and as such is a matter of interpretation as a whole. In general, a good cleric helps those in need while an evil cleric seeks to spread his patron's vision of evil across the world. All clerics can heal people and bring them back from the brink of death while more powerful clerics can even raise the dead. Likewise, all clerics have authority over undead creatures, and they can turn away, control or easily destroy these abominations. Clerics are trained in the use of simple weapons and can use all forms of armour without penalty since these do not interfere with the casting of divine spells like they do with the arcane. In addition to a normal complement of divine spells, every cleric chooses to focus on two domains most representing his belief and patron. These domains grant the cleric special powers, and may give access to spells that the cleric otherwise may never learn to cast without said domains. A cleric's WISDOM score determines the ability to cast spells.
The world's most famous Clerics currently are Richard Evans, Orpheus Cas'Manal, Miya Redriner and Glortor'Rai Glaurd'Har.

OOC: Multiclassing and builds
Please note that these are only suggestions based on years of experience, not the end-all solve-all single possible way to play a Cleric.
As Alpha-Class, your main goal should be to make Cleric take up at least 15 levels before level 20 and make sure that it takes up most of your levels in most builds and versions.
Here are a few build-ideas with an IC-flavour for Kymlun!
